Colorcoded: I Just Needed Red
The clock on the mantle imploded, my friend.
I watched as those arrows just started to bend.
They swiveled and wobbled right down to the floor,
And then-yes I swear it-they walked right out the door.
Time really wasn't quite right after that,
I lost notion of living-even where I was at.
They said Christmas was coming and I said "please no!"
"No presents, no music, no barrels of the snow!!"
Then I padlocked my door and rolled myself tight,
and colored the tiles on the ceiling that night.
When the guests came they rejoiced, I started to scream-
-in my head, you see-I'd have made such a scene.
They told me to come out to serve up the cake,
